Susie’s health career started with general nursing in Sydney and London.
She then completed a physiotherapy degree at Sydney University, and has run a busy private practice in Avalon since 1994. Her special interest is in prevention and rehabilitation of musculo-skeletal injuries, postural correction and core control.
Susie has practiced yoga for many years and is a trained Dru yoga teacher.
In 2012 she completed her MBSR training (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) to teach meditation and mindful exercise.
She teaches functional anatomy and physiology workshops and lectures in yoga schools for the past 10 years. Recently she helped develop a post-graduate course in back care for the International Yoga Teachers Association (IYTA).
She incorporates her physiotherapy skills with awareness through movement and other strategies based on mind-body research to facilitate stress reduction and inspire positive change in others.
